How to contact our team
If you have an interest in nature, have some free time at the weekend and don't mind getting dirty then the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and Groundwork London would like you to help with some wildlife conservation projects in Holland Park. Starting on Saturday 18 February at 10.30am the volunteers will help create new wildlife habitats and help manage areas of the woodland. The conservation sessions will run for five hours on the third Saturday of every month until September 2012. Instructions, gloves, tools and tea will be provided for all volunteers who are advised to bring their own lunch, waterproofs and `clothes that they don't mind getting dirty'. The project, Taskforce 4 Nature 2012, is funded by the BIG Lottery and supported by the Royal Borough and Groundwork London Cllr Nick Paget-Brown, Cabinet Member for the Environment, commended the volunteering initiative saying: "Kensington and Chelsea is the most densely populated borough in the country, so we want to make the best of the wildlife areas we do have. This project is a fantastic opportunity for residents with an interest in nature to come along and help protect these valuable amenities and learn something."
